Offers: Train the trainer type lessons, including: Beginner horsemanship skills, intermediate training techniques, advanced training techniques and an apprenticeship program
S.T.E.P.C. operates on the premise that every rider is a trainer. In fact, every time you handle your horse you are training it, whether you are on the ground or in the saddle. It is up to you whether the behavior being trained is favorable or not.
Together, you and the instructor will develop a personal learning plan based on your interests, skills and goals. The learning the plan will provide the framework for the lessons. Some of the learning goals may involve but are not limited to: Understanding horse behavior, working with foals, groundwork, starting under the saddle, advancing the older horse, eliminating unwanted behaviors, preparing for the show season
All lessons are private, as each student is working towards their own individual goals. S.T.E.P.C 's training techniques are based on an eclectic approach, involving methods that promote partnership that is based on effective communication and trust. S.T.E.P.C. is located at a professional breeding and training facility located within South London, Ontario.
