I offer private and group western riding lessons, whether you are riding for the first time or want to take your riding to the next level. Lessons focus on developing and improving a balanced seat, quiet hands, and clear, consistent cues that are the foundations of any discipline. My goal is to provide a safe and fun riding experience for the recreational rider, and develop skills that can be used to succeed in any western riding discipline.
I have school horses for all levels of riders, or riders can take lessons on their own horse. Lessons are 1 to 1/2 hours, and include tacking up and horsemanship instruction. In order to maintain individualized and safe instruction, group lessons are never more that 3 riders. Lesson horse, tack and large outdoor arena are provided in addition to instruction. No experience needed, all welcome. Instructor brings more than a decade of experience in western disciplines and competition, as well as a commitment to being a lifelong learner.
Lessons are available by appointment. Lessons are for 1 to 1 1/2 hours each week. Riding helmets are required for youth and are recommended for all and are available to borrow. Reasonable rates.
