I believe a trainer has a responsibility to the both the owner and horse to be.... ETHICAL. This is possibly the most important part of the training process! I am ashamed at the state of ethics in the horse training industry particularly in the business of COLT STARTING. If your colt is progressing well and does not need another two weeks or 30 days, I WILL TELL YOU, I will NOT "milk you" just for another check written for my training fee. By the same token if I am of the opinion that your horse needs more training before I believe you will be happy and safe riding him I will tell you that too.
I believe in this so strongly in fact that unlike most trainers, I offer my services for just two weeks when starting a colt or when tuning up an older horse. Bring your horse to me for TWO WEEKS and see for yourself what your horse CAN accomplish in that amount of time if given the proper opportunities. I am convinced that you will be very satisfied with the results of a hiring a trainer who is as committed to the goal of your horse becoming a reliable and fun to ride "partner" as you are.

My fee is $325 for Two Weeks, this includes hay. I charge an extra $25 per week for supplements and grain or you may bring your own. I live in very rocky terrain and your horse will spend lots of time going up and down the hills and over the rocks. I strongly recommend you have your horses shod prior to bringing them to me for training or I can have my shoer put shoes on the horse for you. Farrier Fees Are Extra.
