Training For over 15 years I have been a professional trainer and certified in ARICP Riding Instructor Program. The certification program proves that the instructor has the highest standards of knowledge, skills, safety that ARICP sets forth for the benefit of the horse and rider. My Main goal for students is helping them create a successful partnership with their horse. Teaching students patience and helping them view the horse, through the horse's eye, makes for an accomplished and happy horse and rider.

Beginners need a riding instructor to help them lay the foundation basics and intermediate and above riders can always use an expert eye. For beginners, it is not just the riding. Proper instruction on handling, putting the correct tack on the horse, grooming and care are emphasized. Showing in-hand is a great step as beginners advance. I do several inspections showing foals to stallion prospects in hand. Although many of my students do not have their own horse, a gifted talented and extremely kind of lesson horse is a must. I have taken the time to find just such ones. Beginners can feel confident and safe that the horse they are riding on will give and be forgiving and kind with safety always the priority. Many students advance quite quickly because these horses. As the saying goes. "They are worth their weight in gold!" Of course I do have advanced horses for these who already have the basic skills. Although going to shows is done on a regular basis with several students (including beginners to advance on our lesson horses or their own), this is not a requirement showing is not for everyone but we do always give the option. esides arena work which includes dressage and jumping. I believe that trail riding is just as important for horse and rider. Trail riding is just as important for horse and rider. Trail riding is incorporated at the appropriate time so all may learn and benefit from experience on trail that one may never have in arena riding.

I have recently added some cross-country courses with excellent feedback. Nothing too big or dangerous at this stage, but many are finding they have "caught the bug" to do more than arena work. We are having a lot of fun with it.

English riding in its every form is what most students ride at the ranch, but since I came from a western background, learning to ride western is also offered. In fact, many of our English riders switch to western/endurance riding for the trails. From time to time we also leave the ranch and head for many of the National Forest trails in which to hone our skills and just enjoy the beauty of the scenery. Come join us and have some fun! http://dressagehunterjumpertrainer. webs.com/training.htm
