I will train a horse that isn't halter broke to finishing a horse in any of the following disciplines; western, english, jumping, showmanship, contesting and trail. I charge $35 per hour. I like the owner to learn my training techniques so they know what to do with their horse when they work with them.
I also do monthly training. I charge $300 a month or $275 when the horse in for training is boarded at my barn. The monthly training includes me working with the horse at least 3 times a week. Broken down to an hourly rate that would total $410 a month for 3 training sessions per week.
My main goal when training is to have a calm respectable horse on the ground and in the saddle. I believe the proper ground work is the key to most problems.
I give lessons to beginners up to experienced riders. I also will give lessons to all ages; no on is too young or too old in my eyes. I prefer private lessons only but will give a group lesson up to two riders at a time. I charge $35 per private lesson and $25 per rider for a group lesson. Lessons usually last 1 1/2 hours because i guarantee an hour on the horses back.
I have 15 years of experience training horses/riders. I have had over 6 different personal trainers and I study John Lyons,Pat Parelli, Chris Cox, Clinton Anderson, Craig Cameron and many others on a consistent basis. I believe you can never know everything and the same techniques do not work on every horse. I have shown in all of the above disciplines and have done very well.
