Adjustments have proven to be invaluable in detecting and treating gait abnormalities and other performance robbing problems in the athletic horse, restoring balance and alleviating pain. When animals are mis-aligned they must constantly compensate for the pain by shifting weight, which in turn creates added stress to muscles and joints which do not normaly carry that weight. Common complaints from owners include decreased performance, stiffness in limbs or body, resistance to moving in a particular direction and irritability.
