Hondo is a 7 year old muscular 16.3h TB gelding, solid first level dressage horse schooling second level movements, trail rides by himself or with others, green over jumps but has talent and would be a good jumper/eventer with more training, he has been to flagstaff and grass ridge to school cross country. I have even done an endurance ride with this horse and he did great! Loves trail riding, many miles in the mountains, through water, down rocky terrain, etc. Doesn't care when he gets poked by cactus :) He is a sweet boy, loves attention, will look at things but not a spooky horse. Sound, trailers great(until recently he was hauled to a lesson every week for the last 4 years, and hauled to the mountains), bathes, stands nice for the farrier, no vices, also rides western and could be easily trained for barrels or any other performance competition, he's fast! Goes in a loose ring snaffle bit in the area or trail, can get strong in your hand when other horses canter in front of him but always controllable. He is a high energy horse so he does need an experienced rider. Great at walk/trot/canter, leg yields, shoulder-ins, haunches-in, counter canter and simple changes. Still needs work on extensions and his walk to canter transitions. I would never sell this horse however life happened and I am now pregnant, only willing to sell to a great home, special consideration given to a show home, price negotiable to the right person.
