I thought I'd toss this out there for anyone who loves to ride and/or train, but does not have a horse. I have 5 horses and would love another person who knows what they're doing be able to help them gain experience. They are Arabians, so one must have some knowledge of how to handle an Arab or be willing to learn. I promise you, my Arabs break the stereotype of "crazy" horses. I also use Clinton Anderson methods, so again one must be familiar with his techniques or seriously willing to learn them or have similar knowledge. There is also a QH filly, but she is still young - groundwork only.
My horses are my sacred companions and I want only the best for them. I will not have a heavy handed rider or other potential problem anywhere near them. I have taken my time with them and they are well trained and I want to keep it that way.
I will entertain knowledgeable English riders as possible candidates. I do not ride English, but one of my horses will potentially need to learn English for show.
Because my horses are young (4-8) and still learning, patience, understanding, and sensitivity are paramount. This is a great opportunity for someone who is horseless, but would like to have a consistent relationship with a gentle, intelligent equine. This will involve someone who is trustworthy and dependable. It will also require complete trust on my part as I am accepting you into my equines' lives...
This is not a paid position; it is a symbiotic exchange.
