My name is Jay I'm a fourteen year old girl. Turning fifteen in October.I know you may be thinking, "not another fourteen year old who thinks she knows what she's doing!" And I understand where your coming from. Many people think that they are ready to train a horse when they are not. I however just want to work on the farm, wether it's mucking stalls or training foals. I have been around horses all my life and took riding lessons since I was eight. Last January a wonderful Standardbred came into my life. He is a riding horse. Not racing. Through the assistance of wonderful instructors I have taught him a lot, and he has improved tremendously. I love horses with all my heart and am looking for a job with them this summer. I could also work on saturdays if need be.
I have worked the last two summers in a greenhouse and have found that I'd rather be mucking stalls. Also I can help with training horses. I have ridden western for most of my life. But I have done some english. I'm a very willing person, and would love to learn if you wanted to teach me. I have a huge amount of patenice and kindness and would be able to assist in the training of horses. Although I would be willing to try gentling one on my own. I have lunged quite a bit, and have taken a few lunging lessons, the more I do it the better I get. I can also help catch hard to catch horses. As I have had a lot of experiance with that!:) I am willing to do any barn chores or work with the horses. I can put blankets on or take off. I can lift hay bales. I have bandaged a leg a few times but could eaisily learn better with a bit of practice. I would love to start a young horse if you need a hand with that. I am willing to work seven to five or shorter hours. I am just planning ahead for the summer. But if the job is right, I could do a few volenteer hours. I am willing to work with race horses, but would prefer a riding barn. I would love to work at a rescue center, and help horses. I could assist in teaching lessons. I can tack up the horses if you need. I can lead trail rides. Although I am only fourteen I can do alot. I am willing to learn anything new. I would need a job in the Hamilton/Flambourough area though. So if you are intrested please email me! Thanks for your time.
