Wild Rose Equine Rescue Society was started in 2006, in response to the need for a safe havens for the many unwanted, abused, neglected and/or misunderstood horses in Alberta. Our rescued horses come from all different kinds of backgrounds and history and each one is given individual care to fit their needs. We are a not-for-profit organization and run our operation through the help of volunteer staff who give their time to help these wonderful animals. We are not a fancy establishment but we love these horses no matter how grumpy, mean or ill tempered they may be. Our mission is to rescue, protect and prevent the abuse of equines through rescue operations, education, investigation and advocacy. “Just because it’s a little beat up, doesn’t mean you should throw a life away.” Tom Smith trainer of Seabiscut.
We have many horses up for adoption. We also look for great homes who are able to foster as well so that we can bring in more horses that need our help.
If you are interested in adopting or fostering any of our horses you can check us out @ www.albertahorserescue.com Thanks
