The Martin Downs Equestrian Center is pleased to announce Gawani Ponyboy's "Horses Teaching People" Groundwork Clinic on December 5th and 6th, 2009. GaWaNi Ponyboy (www.PonyBoy.com) began his career as the horse industry's resident expert on horse/human relationships and he continues to deal with real-life issues in his signature "tell-it-like-it-is" style at clinics and workshops held world-wide. Usually the closest opportunity south Florida has to see him is the Horse Expo in Jacksonville, but now he will be right in our neighborhood, conveniently located two miles from both I-95 and the Florida Turnpike on Martin Hwy in Palm City, FL. This is a 2-day course and is limited to 12 horse and rider teams (unlimited auditors welcome)Students will learn ground exercises such as controlling forward movement, gait control, changing direction, the outside turn, the inside turn, working outside of the round pen, and overcoming obstacles. These exercises are essential to gaining your horse's trust and respect and give students a completely new understanding of their horse's motivations and attitudes.
