Hello! My name is Andrea. I'm a 20 year old,Homeschooled,Christian Girl. I live in Grand Rapids,MI. I have my Learner's Permit and Studying for my GED or Homeschooler's Diploma. And I also volunteer at the Coopersville and Marne Railway.
I'm looking for a job to work with or around horses. The job has to be in the Kent County Area,Ottawa County,Allegen County or 10 to 15 to 20 mile radius of my parents house,so it will be easy for me to commute to and from work. I'm green for horse knowledge, but I love to learn new things. I'm a hard worker that likes to get down and get my hands dirty.
I have ridden horses a handful of times,but I don't ride regularly because I don't own a horse and I live in the city. I have mostly ridden horses with Western or Trail Saddles. I haven't tacked up or harnessed up a horse before, but I will love to learn! The horses that I have been around and ridden a handful of times are: Draft Crosses, Arabian/Quarter Horse Cross, and Paints. The Horses that I'm willing to work or be around with are: Quarter Horses,Paints,Buckskins,Western Horses and Trail Horses. But I'm also always wanted to learn to working with or being around Draft Horses or Work Horses such as: Percheron,Clyesdales,Beligans,Draft Crosses,Mules,Roping Horses,Cutting Horses,Horse Teams and mounted police Horses.
I'm can help you with Stable Work such as: Cleaning your Horse's Stall,Feeding,Watering,Brushing your Horses, and to exercise your horses. I'm willing to help you with unloading or loading your vehicle with Hay or Feed. Winter is Over, but when snow falls again,I will also help you with Shovling your walk or driveway. Working out in the snow doesn't bother me. If you have a Fireplace or Wood Burning Furance, I will help you bring in firewood from your wood pile for the fireplace and or your Furance. I wil also help with stack wood for your wood pile,help unload logs or small firewood from your vehicle and place them in a pile or put them in your wood storage. I can also chop wood for you. My grandpa and my dad have taught me how to chop wood with a Splitting Maul. And I have done it plenty of times.
I have also driven my grandpa's Front Loader Tractor and been able to drive it in and out of tight spaces like: moving it in and out of his Garage and Pole Barn. I have also operated his Cherry Picker also. I'm willing to work for 5 to 10 dollars an hour or whatever suits you is fine with me also! Your Pay will also help me pay for gas to get back and forth from the Job. I can't work Sunday Mornings because I go to church with my parents and younger brother and I'm also a Church Librarian.
