Offering, full board for geldings and mares. Stable is off of Hopewell road, and I'm looking to fill up 5 stalls, so any number of horses below five is welcome. Price range from $500 to $550, depending on the amount of feed consumed, and whether or not they require any supplements administered or extra care. **Requirements to board** -looking for well tempered horses, turn-out is one large pasture and I am not looking to fence it off if possible. No Stallions. -active owners (if you do not exercise or ride your horse on a regular basis then you are allowing either me or my eventing partner to ride your horse for you.) -if owner cannot come out to exercise or groom horse, but wishes to continue with ownership, then a deal can be made where I can exercise and groom your horse for extra costs.
Full Board Includes: -daily turnout, either all the time, or just day or just night depending on the owner's preference. -a stall which is picked everyday, and fully stripped and cleaned once or twice a week depending on when it needs to be mucked. Stall bedding of pine shavings. -two feedings a day, morning at 6 a.m. and evening at 4:20 p.m. Feed is a seminole mix. -when kept in stalls, they will constantly be given two flakes of hay. In the winter I purchase a large round bale and place it out in the pasture, depending on the grass availability (which shouldn't be a problem anytime soon because all my pasture hasn't had horses on it for two years and the whole place is covered in green grass). -looking to invest in heated water buckets so in the winter their water doesn't get cold. -in the summer, fly spray is purchased in bulk and shared amongst all the boarders, so for those months with bugs, owner will have access to unlimited fly spray. -winter turnout includes blanketing of your horse, but owner must provide blanket.
Stables include: One large wash rack, medium sized tack room, stalls are around 10x10, possibly 11x11.
Riding availability includes: Full ability to ride in pasture (will be setting up cross country jumps as I am an eventer), riding arena (used to have sand but grass grew over) which can either be for dressage or jumping (I am building standards and painting fences to set up). and one very large round pen for lunging or horsemanship.
Full Board DOES NOT INCLUDE: -cost of shoeing or farrier trims -cost of vet bills, shots, coggins, or any joint or body supplements.
