Pheasant View Farms is located in DILLSBURG, PA about 15 minutes south of Harrisburg. Geldings or Mares are welcome! Great for retired horses that need a nice, relaxed place to call home. Quiet, small farm with personalized care. We have a five stall barn for our board horses and a separate four stall barn for our horses. Because our farm is small, we can boast the personalized care that your horse needs.
We have the horses outside as much as possible with weather permitting. Daily turnout, twice a day feeding, always good hay and quality grain! Stall size 12 x 13, and matted with a high ceilings.
We have had miniature horses, minature donkey, paint horses, thoroughbreds, tennessee walkers and quarter horses. No stallions.
We enjoy the mixture of breeds and how that ads to the "farm family". Some are western show horses, others relaxing and on vacation, others english hunt seat competitors...some enjoy trails. We are an easy going farm and "no judgement zone"!!!! Friendly atmosphere and calm horses. Separate pastures available if needed. Run-in sheds accessible from each pasture. New outdoor arena available for your training and riding pleasure. New round pen for training. Variety of fencing including board fence, endurosoft electric rope divider fences, Cenflex 5” flexible rail fencing, and PVC fencing with offset electric.
Over 100 acres of mountain trails nearby with a minimal 2 mile ride on back-country roads.
Each horse gets EXCELLENT care. Use your vet or ours. Use your farrier or ours.
Full Care Fee $265 a month, includes worming, holding for vet appointments and farrier appointments (if done at the time of our horses), removal and changing of blankets, fly protection, fly spraying, heated water troughs in the winter, fans in the summer, and giving supplements if necessary.
What is not included is purchase of supplements, vet and farrier care, and fly spray. We are not set up for stallions.
Also offer beginner western lessons/training. Locking tackroom for your riding supplies. Washer onsite for horse blankets in winter.
