When a horse is stolen or missing, an Idaho Alert is sent by SHI to NetPosse volunteers. Currently NetPosse is thousands strong across the nation, not including the list groups and other horse organizations who participate.Members print the flyers and distributes them to feed stores, auctions, horse shows and other places where people may take a moment to see if they recognize a stolen or missing horse.
Message from SHI President - We didn't know it in 1997 but one letter sent out to all the addresses we could find on the Internet was forming what is today, NetPosse.com/Stolen Horse International.
Today I would like to introduce you to NetPosse.com. I hope you will take a moment to visit our site, and if you like what you see, join us as part of our NetPosse. There is no cost other than a few minutes of your time when a horse is missing. Many people came to our aid in our 51 week search to bring our stolen mare Idaho home. The concept of "people helping people" was formed and remains the primary method of obtaining help for victims today.
I hope after you visit our site that you will help spread the word by adding a link to your site and by joining the NetPosse Volunteer network.
Feel free to pass this to your friends if you think they may benefit from knowing we are here. It is by word of mouth, or the power of the Internet that we have been able to help so many.
Go to the netposse.com and sign up for our newsletter and alerts on the top left column.
We never underestimate the power of one. Sincerely,
Debi B. Metcalfe Stolen Horse International, Inc. idahonc@aol.com
