The Delmarva Driving Club, Inc., formed in July, 1983 and incorporated in 1988, began with seven charter members and has grown to nearly 100. Our charter states our purposes.
Member interests vary as do the number and breed of horses, ponies, mules or miniature donkeys they own. Many of the equines used for club activities have been trained locally by our members. Although one driving vehicle is sufficient, many members have quite a collection from which to choose.
Clinics to improve driving skills or learn about harness, equine nutrition and health, and proper care of harness and vehicles are offered by the Club or individual members.
The club has partnered with Delaware's Redden Forest in an effort to seek and maintain a safe driving haven. Frequent drives at the Jester Tract of Redden have occurred in an effort to develop more drives of 'tradition.'

The Delmarva Driving Club is a chapter member of both the American Driving Society and Carriage Association of America.
