"Lola" is an exceptional western pleasure prospect. She is very quiet and easy going, is slow-legged and very flat kneed with three nice gaits. She has a very balanced, easy way of going that will take her far in the show pen- not to mention her color really stands out. She has 90 days professional training- with level, consistent head and neck carriage. She was shown as a yearling in showmanship and did very well. Higher Power Farm in offering training at our small, private farm with a focus on hunter-jumpers. We have a small, 10 acre farm with three pastures, an indoor and outdoor arena, as well as a heated barn in the winter. Horses are turned out daily and are on a customized feed program to optimize energy as well as weight maintence. I do all the training as well as manage the farm myself. I earned my Associates Degree in Equestrian Science from Black Hawk College in 2005. During my time at Black Hawk I was competitive on their Intercollegiate Horse Show Team, and earned a top 5 finish at National Finals in 2004. I also spent a year at West Texas A&M University competing on their IHSA team and furthering my education. I have 9 years experience giving lessons, and extensive show career with AQHA, APHA, IHJA, IHSA, as well as open and 4H shows, and have also done some judging. I focus on putting a solid foundation on all my horses to ensure their ability to succeed in their given discipline. Training is available for starting horses under saddle or over fences, furthering exsisting training, as well as tune up's for finished show horses. My focus is mainly on Hunter-Jumper's but I have experience working with Western Pleasure prospects as well. Training packages include full board, 5-6 training rides per week, 1 private lesson per week, and I will also assist any customers in marketing horses that they might have up for sale, as well as campaigning show horses that are in training with me.
