The Screaming E is a private, family-owned farm located on 100 acres in Birmingham, AL. Our equines are a happy mix of beginner-safe trail horses, minis/ponies, and rescue/rehab equines. Unfortunately, we have reached the point where demands exceed resources and we are forced to reduce our herd. We have many 100% sound and healthy equines who are seeking new homes.
All Screaming E equines are interacted with on a daily basis and receive excellent feed, vet, and care. We expect interested parties to be willing and able to offer the same. We offer full disclosure and honest descriptions of all our equines listed for sale. Thank you for looking and don't hesitate to email with any further questions or comments.

Travis, Palomino Paint For Sale in Alabama
SOLD!
$ 350 (Price is Firm)
Travis was foaled in April 2007. He is a solid colored APHA eligible for registry as breeding stock APHA or can be registered PHBA (all paperwork in order; just choose a name, write the check and send it in).

This guy has been handled daily since birth and he is super laid back. You can do anything with him or to him and he doesn't skip a beat. At 13.3 hands, he is the perfect size for a young rider and has the gentle temperament to match.

Travis leads, loads, clips, ties, bathes, lunges, and is great for the farrier. You can stall him or turn him out and he does fine either way. He is very easy to catch, super friendly, and gets along well with other horses -- no kick, bite, or nastiness in this horse. He does require daily grain to keep his weight on, but other than that he is very low maintenance.

Fit him for halter or turn him into a fancy pleasure pony! He has not been broke to ride due to his age, but he is ready to start training now. Start him under saddle with a trainer this winter and have an awesome show ring or trail mount for your child by the spring. He is priced to sell and would make some kid's dream come true for Christmas.
(details)
Favorite's Little Suzie, Gold Champagne Tennessee Walking Horse For Sale in Alabama
$ 500 (Price is Firm)
Beautiful 6 y.o. registered TWH for sale. She stands at 15 hands, has the narrow TWH build, and has lovely movement. Not broke to ride, but with training and patience she could compete in the ring or just make all your trail riding buddies green with envy.

This mare needs to go to a home with horse experience. She is a little on the nervous side and we suspect that she has not known much kindness in her past because she settles down nicely once she comes to trust you through daily gentle handling. She is full of potential with the right person!

Easy keeper and ranks about middle of the herd. Current on vaccinations, deworming, hoof trim, and negative coggins test.

She does halter, lead, load, tie, trim, worm, and stand for vet work. Could also make an excellent addition to your herd of broodmares if color and conformation are among your goals -- she is a proven broodmare.

TWHBEA papers are in hand and she is priced to sell. Unfortunately due to unforeseen financial circumstances we MUST sell some of our horses. Please, we are looking for good homes with long-term intentions -- no traders!

If you have the resources, time, and knowledge to offer a good home then please email through this ad or call and leave a message.

Pics from 11/5/09

(details)

Zips Rainy Day Girl, Sorrel Quarter Horse For Sale in Alabama
SOLD!
$ 500 (Price is Firm)
Rain is an intelligent, cooperative, and friendly horse. She is eager to learn and anxious to please.

2006 model. Easy to catch and halter, leads, loads, clips, ties, bathes, lunges, great for farrier -- impeccable ground manners. She is not spooky at all but she is sensitive and would not respond well to rough, "cowboy" type handling.

I have had Rain since she was 4 weeks old. She has been handled daily her entire life. I am only selling because I require a larger horse.

She has never been saddled or bridled due to her age but at 3 years old she is now ready to begin her under-saddle training.

Rain runs to met you at the gate and gets along well with other equines of all shapes and sizes. If you don't like "in your pocket" horse shadows then this is not the horse for you. She is SUPER friendly and attention-seeking.

Rain is Zippo Pine Bar, Blondys Dude, and Skipper W bred. Her extended pedigree can be seen here: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/zips+rainy+day+girl

EXCELLENT HOME is an absolute MUST for this sweet filly! Please, no traders.

(details)

Lily, Black Thoroughbred Cross For Sale in Alabama
SOLD!
$ 300 (Price is Firm)
Lily is out of a paint mare bred by a TB stallion. Foaled in March 2006, she is solid black except for a small star. She is a super easy keeper with good feet who has been handled daily since coming to our farm at only 10 days old -- leads, loads, trims, etc -- has the basics down pat. Her one quirk in that area is sensitivity about her nose so we give her the feed-thru dewormers.

Lily is very friendly and likes to be in your pocket -- loves attention. Easy to catch and eager to please, she is filled to the brim with potential (would be a beautiful hunter-jumper!). She is filling in quite a lot this year (her dam was a tank!) and stands just a tidge shy of 14.2 hands.

She is athletic enough to be competitive and laid-back enough to make an awesome trail mount. She is not broke to ride due to her age but is old enough to start her training this winter. This filly will make someone a very nice horse. Excellent home only for this sweet girl!

(details)
Rosie, Sorrel Roan Belgian For Sale in Alabama
$ 650 (Price is Firm)
Rosie has a beautiful strawberry roan coat and is built like a TANK -- this girl is massive. She delivered a beautiful colt in mid-June 2009. He is now weaned him and she is ready to move on to a loving permanent home. The colt is not for sale.

Rosie would make an ideal broodmare for a farm looking to produce big horses or send her to a trainer and have yourself an awesome trail mount.

She is a fantastic mother and very easy to handle -- couldn't have made our jobs any easier in terms of the foaling.

We don't know much about Rosie's background but the brand on her shoulder is typical of a PMU mare.

We have worked extensively with Rosie since she came here a year ago. She halters, leads, loads, bathes, etc. She does need some work standing still for the farrier, but her feet are healthy and she will lift them for you without much fuss.

Rosie is current on vaccinations, deworming, hoof trims, and negative coggins. If you're looking for a draft with loads of potential then don't let Rosie pass you by.

PRICE IS FIRM and as with all our equines, Rosie is available to a good home only -- homes that have the resources, knowledge, facility and time to offer excellent care.

Please don't hesitate to call or email if you have any questions. hucknjen@yahoo.com

(details)
