Pal, Palomino Pony For Sale in Ontario (Canada)
$ 1,500
Barn Name: Pal

Breed: Pony
Height: approx 13.2hh (will measure)
Age: 15 y/o
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Palomino

Health: Excellent, Easy Keeper, UTD on Shots May '09 (Flu/EVR, WNV, Rabies, Tetnus, Strangles)
Lameness: None - Sound

Vices: None
Personality: Friendly. Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Tie, Trim, Trailer, etc. Good with other horses, ponies and donkeys. Downside is..... he is too hot for timid riders such as his previous owners, which is why he is here. He may also have some previous abuse as he has trust issues under saddle.

History/Training: Purchased for $2500 from a dealer in Sept '07 they had hoped that with regular riding and lessons that he would be suitable for their daughter but sadly she never felt comfortable riding him as she always felt like he could explode!

Future/Suitability: English or Western, Show or Pleasure - Not Suitable for a Beginner Rider

Additional Info: Provided by previous owners .... He certainly knows walk, trot, canter. Never refuses a jump. Just has a tendency to be quite goey (how do you like that word). You will find he just doesn't seem to relax as most horses and ponies do after you begin to work them regularly. He holds his head quite high and may scoot if you use too much leg. When you get on he may also kind of scoot. He does not buck or rear. He was more suited to a jointed pelham and a running martingale. He also gets quite goey when you reach forward to praise him. He has confused me because he is so good on the ground - and yet quite nervous under saddle. He does have some holes in his training, but someone did a lot of ground work with him. I am thinking he may be more suited to barrels and such - something that has a pattern - he goes - does his job - and is finished. I really don't know his calling but certainly hope we (you) can figure it out.

** CANADA DAY SPECIAL ** - We have reduced Pal's adoption fee down to $1500. In order to take advantage of this special price you will need to have your application approved, pay for Pal in full and have him picked up (or delivered at your expense) on or before July 1, 2009. Please email if you have any questions. Thanks!

Current Status: Located at HCW in Cameron, ON - Available for Adoption/Sale or Fostering/Free Lease (Until Adopted). Her previous owners believe she was previously abused, so they did alot of work with her getting Goldie to trust them, so she does need to go to a home where she will be handled and ridden gently and lovingly. Previous owners paid $3000 for her and owned her since 2002. He used to lunge her before riding her. Easy to catch, lead, groom, trim, tie, trailer, etc. Currently turned out with a group of mares (horses, ponies, donkeys). Loves attention. Likes brown bread & mints. Likes to be inside when it is hot, humid or buggy!

History/Training: She is sound and would ride all day English or western in a ring with any age rider (no shoes) BUT would have too much energy for a beginner on a trail ride. She loves attention and has been a great mom in the past. Her last foal was born five years ago. I would not recommend her for breeding unless the individual would be prepared for a mare that pre-lactates. She is excellent for the farrier; I deworm her in her feed with brown sugar; she is not fond of injections, trailers like a pro and loves her stall; has no trouble eating but gets sensitive over bugs. She was a winning mare in the ring in her younger years. She is a lovely 15.1 bay with a white star. I have her daughter and grandson. Beginners should not try o trail ride her. She has not been trail ridden in years. I was the only one to trail ride her while we lived in NJ and she was a strong ride. She is very good in the ring. Since we bought our farm eight years ago, her primary job was being a great mom and had three lovely foals for us. She is easy to saddle bridle, lunge and is very soft in hand and in the bridle. She loves attention but still has a lot of life left in her older years. Given up to HCW because of husband's poor health

Future/Suitability: Backyard/Pleasure Riding, English or Western, Possibly Light Showing, She could also do trails if ridden by an experienced rider

Additional Info: All of the information above was supplied to us by Flit's previous owner who owned her for the past 12 years

** Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: Best Offer. SOLD! Simchah, Bay Arabian For Sale in Ontario (Canada) SOLD!
$ 500
Barn Name: Simchah

Breed: Anglo-Arabian
Reg'd Name: Shalom Simchah
Reg#: AA 9750
DOB: 21st June 1999
Sire: Val De Chance
Dam: Dukeries Sabanna

Height: 16.2hh
Age: 10 y/o
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Bay

Health: Good health
Lameness: Can not be ridden. Ever. As a foal, he had a very bad infection in his near side hind foot. The infection has deformed the foot and has fused the pedal bone. He can flex through his hock. Because of the deformity, he walks on the inside of his foot and his inner thigh muscle is over developed. He moves beautifully (he has won sport horse competitions - in hand) when free lunged and is extremely responsive to voice commands and body language. He loves to be free lunged. However, once a rider gets on his back, because of his foot and over developed muscle, he can not balance himself and the rider. I have tried several times and it renders him lame within 10 minutes. Therefore, he is not to be ridden.

Vices: None. Not good to box (load), as has never really travelled. But, with a lot of patience and love, he will go in, eventually.

Personality: Gentle, loving, kind. He is a big baby. He is incredibly beautiful to look at. When he moves, he seems to float through the air. He was actually 'Mr December' in the 'Horse Lovers Calendar' and I do have a spare copy. This horse needs a lot of love and he LOVES to be handled and groomed. He loves nothing more than to be brushed with a soft body brush and to have his face brushed. For hours. And I mean hours! He loves people, dogs, other horses etc. He is highly intelligent, has a huge character, and gives love in buckets.

History/Training: Trained and schooled in accordance with the principles of the German Equestrian Federation; but only free lunging. He can be lunged using a lunge-line, but not for too long as the tight 20M circle is hard for him to balance. He free lunges beautifully, even with other horses around. Responds to voice commands in a small pen and in a larger, indoor arena. Has a very soft mouth - only in a snaffle.

Future/Suitability: Would make an excellent companion horse where he can spend his days with other horses and some dogs around and be brushed every night. We saved him from being shot and we both want to make sure that someone will love him and NOT send him for meat. We couldn't bear that.

Additional Info: Information above provided to us by Simchah's current owners.

** Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: $500 obo. We will never recoup what we have into this horse (hay, feed, deworming, farrier, etc) so we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do hope to get something for him so that we can continue to help other horses & ponies in need. So please make an offer. He's a nice horse, he needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. He has been patiently waiting since Aug 4 '09 and no one has come to see him yet. All offers will be considered, but not necessarily accepted. Simchah comes with his Indoor Winter Blanket, Outdoor Winter Blanket, Turnout Fly Sheet and Fly Mask **
