This Ansur Excel dressage saddle is treeless and made for hard to fit horses or riders who have more than one mount. No need to change anything on the saddle--simply tack up and go! The seat size is a petite-indicated for a 5'4"-5'9"/100-170 lb rider. Ansur likens it to a 17" seat size as compared to traditional treed saddles, however I have found it is quite generous, fitting closer to a 17.5"-18" saddle. With an extra 2" long flap (22" total) it best suits a long-legged rider and will look great on a slab-sided or larger breed horse. This saddle boasts an external knee roll with additional thigh and knee blocks that can be added under the flap as needed. Purchased new in March 2009 for $3745, this saddle is currently being offered for $2750.00 and is micro-chipped to deter theft.
