Owner - Larry Stephens - Seller of Top Quality Tennessee Walking Horses of Color. Located 6 miles North of Whitley City, Ky in the small community of FlatRock. I have been a resident of this area for the biggest part of my life and rode, worked with,shown, and trained horses since I was a young boy. I have been selling horses for over 25 years with the last 8 years including sales over the internet. The majority of my horses are purchased from Reputable Breeders and are in the age range of 6 to 18 months when I bring them home. I look for only the best, naturally gaited TWH colts with great color and confirmation before deciding to make them one of my own. I do all of my own training and riding, using only natural horsemanship techniques (no heavy hand, no spurs)because I want a horse not only I can trust, but one that trusts me. I believe this is what it takes to make a well adjusted riding companion. I dabble in breeding some of my own colts, as well as occasionally purchasing from reliable, trusted individuals who have decided to sell their horse. I am not a Horse trader and will not deal in that type of horse. I want my horses to be just like my name - GOOD, thats why I never post an ad for a horse until it is completely ready to be a reliable and safe riding companion before going to any individual or family. I teach all of my horses the necessary basics: Standing for tack, grooming, mounting, and Ferrier. They are taught to back, load, trailer and unload. If I have enough time I like to work with them on extras such as Parking out and Neck reining. They are ridden daily on actual trails and roads where they are exposed to all conditions, not in a Round Pen or a Barn Hallway. I welcome prospective buyers to come and try them out on a trail ride with me, so that they can see for their self what they are getting. My horses are treated like part of the family, they come to you in the field, they poke their head over the stall for attention when you come in the barn. They get the love and respect they deserve. I have sold horses all over the United States and have earned a well respected name that you can trust.
