"Shivaree" This guy is really special, but he is also special needs. I walked in the barn and was waiting for the trainer to get back when I felt someone gently poking me in the back. I turned around and there was this guy, "Hey lady, how 'bout a scratch?" I said, "What a nice horse you are, big boy. I really like you." As it turned out he was the one I was there to help. Katie his trainer loves him and it's easy to see why. He's packed with personality and he loves the world. In addition to being a racehorse, he's ponied horses and she's even taken him to Seneca Park and hacked him. He's over 16.2 hands and 6 years old. Here's the problem, he's got an apical fracture of the right sesamoid and requires four months stall rest. His chances of mending well are much better if he gets out of the track environment where he wonders why he's not going to the track to train each day. The prognosis is trail/riding horse. He definitely has the temperament for this line of work. I do want to mention that he was sound while walking over to the area where I took the pictures of him. He was also extremely cooperative considering he had not been out of the stall since this happened. They call him Pickles and he is a very friendly guy. He's a gelding. He never raced, but has been at the track for most of his life. His owner saw he had no racing talent, but liked him so much that he kept him and since he trains racehorses, he kept him at the track. This is a very pretty mare, the pictures are just terrible. Mostly because they are in low resolution and when I resized them to the size I need, they become grainy. I've asked the owners to take new ones and they agreed. At any rate, she's looking for a home. Sachem, Black Thoroughbred For Sale in Maryland

Sachem is a 12 yr old, 16 H beautiful black TB gelding. He is extremely intelligent with a real sense of humor. He is by Pembroke and out of the linkage mare Coosawhatchie. Ricky's Lass, Chestnut Thoroughbred For Sale in Maryland

Ricky's Lass is an 11 year old, 16.1 hand, chestnut (has scattered white hairs over entire body) gelding. He is sound and has never been lame in the three years we have had him. We got him about 3 years ago and have been using him as a walk-trot trail horse. We have taken him to Gettysburg battlefield and regularly trail ride through Potapsco State Park. He is pokey walking out on the trails, but is nervous and as a result becomes a little excited coming home. His owner is 61 and a timid rider with a bad back who needs a quieter (bomb proof) horse. Ricky has been a perfect gentleman when ridden in the ring at the farm and has even given pony rides to kids with no problems. We haven't schooled him over jumps, but he has willingly jumped logs on the trail and cross-rails in the ring. We think Ricky would do better in a home with a confident rider and consistant ring work to bring out his potential. No beginners, experienced riders only please! Ricky loves to be groomed on especially his face. He wants to be someones loving pet. He is a loved member of our family and a wonderful horse, but sadly, just too much horse for us. For this reason we are offering him to a loving approved home. We would prefer he stay in the Maryland area so we can keep in touch. He had a lateral condyle fracture as a 2 year old in training and had 3 screws placed in the leg. After the fracture repair, he raced about a half dozen times as a 3 year old. Circe, Dark Bay Thoroughbred For Sale in Maryland

Refined elegance is how I would describe this girl. She is a Thoroughbred/Oldenburg cross. Circe is 6 years old and 15 hands. She has no vices and is sound. Her movement is outstanding, especially if considering the hunter shows. Although her breeding screams eventing. Video available. Circe was bred by a prominent horseman in our community and has very strong jumping lines. At any rate this girl has enough raw talent for any job. She is well broke and ready to continue on to a specific discipline. Circe's mother, Arielle retired from eventing as a grade 2 eventer if Judy had stuck it out another year or so she'd have made grade 1 just on her past xc performance. She was AHSA Zone 3 Horse of the Year Training level champion in 1989 and HOTY preliminary champ in 1991. She was 5th in her first 3-day, then still called preliminary, at Essex in 1991, completed Radnor Preliminary 3DE in 1992, and was on the winning Prelim team at the Chronicle of the Horse East Adult Team Champs in 1993 . Scads of wins at training and prelim from Pennsylvania to North Carolina in the late 80s and early 90s. Was 3rd in her only intermediate horse trials at Middleburg. Circe's papa, Bacchanal, is by the TB Innkeeper (Secretariat/Mr. Prospector/Northern Dancer) out of a half-tb mare, Springer, whose sire was San Diego (Oldenburg) and dam was a tb known as Up and Coming who was junior hunter champion in MD and VA for several years. Her registered name is unknown, as are her whereabouts, unfortunately. Springer had 3 babies for me, Bacchanal was her first.
