This saddle is the famous "Bates" close contact saddle with the Cair panels (putting air between you and your horse's back allowing total comfort) as well as the interchangeable gullet system (allowing you to quickly adjust the saddle to fit any of your horses). If you have multiple horses, instead of buying multiple saddles, you can use the same one! This saddle comes with the entire package of all the different sized gullets as well as the tool for measuring your horse. I bought this saddle for myself and unfortunately, no matter how much I WISH it fit me, it doesn't, it is just too big. It's a 17" seat with a regular flap and removable thigh/knee blocks. The leather on this saddle is incredibly soft and beautiful. It's a dark chocolate color and comes with matching Bates leathers. You can hardly tell the saddle has been used.
