Pine Stone Acres Equestrian Center is now accepting clients for the summer session. We have 4 spots available on our farm and 8 spots available off farm. Do you have an unruley horse? A horse that just needs those extra miles put on him/her? A school horse that needs just that little bit more "schooling" that the beginners don't give him? A yearling that needs starting? How about help breaking your own horse? Look no further as Pine Stone Acres is the place to go! All of our employees are strictly trained and have a multitude of experience in varying disciplines. Our 8 week program guarantees results! We can take a crazy horse and turn them into genntleman/gentlewoman. From halter breaking to 3 foot courses we can break them all. There is never a challenge to big or to small. We take a gentle approach with the horses and take time to bond with them before starting on their training! At P.S.A.E.C. we believe strongly in join up, and that if the horse and trainer aren't bonding we will tell you so you don't waste your money on a trainer that doesn't bond with your horse. Specific training programs are set up at the beginning including input from both the trainer and owner. We do not break anything under 14.3 for anything but halter, ground and other basics. Training is available at your barn or ours with training lessons and training sessions (please see our website for the two programs that we offer). PSAEC 2 rides a week 600/month 3 rides a week 700/month 4 rides a week 800/month 5 rides a week 900/month Your Place 2 rides a week 500/month 3 rides a week 600/month 4 rides a week 700/month 5 rides a week 800/month Training Lessons: $50.00 an hour, $45.00 for 45 minutes and $40.00 a half hour. (Board at your place includes travel) (Additional rides are $50 extra, we give discounts for enrolling additional mounts) Training at my PSAEC is based on outdoor board which is 200 dollars a month. Indoor board is 300,add an additional 100 dollars to the price if you wish to have indoor board. All of our trainers wear a helmet and crash vest while mounted at all times! ***As an owner you are required to supply brushes, a halter, a lead, a bridal w. bit (or bitless) and a saddle pad. Looking for a Summer Job in USA/Canada

Hi my name is Sarah and I am 18 years old. I know it is early yet but I am returning to Ontario for the summer (after completing my remaining 2 years of high school in the NWT where my parents live, which has hindered the amount of time I would usually spend with horses but has not affected my competency of horses and working around them), and want to work at a farm, not at McDonald's or Tim Hortons so I am getting a jump start on looking for employment. When taking lessons I did 6 months of formal dressage training with a level 4 coach that was trained and raised in Vienna where she trained with the Lipizzaner Stallions. After that I took about a year off before commencing with more training. When I started up again I took up hunter/jumper as it was more my style. At the new trainer I was not just limited to hunter/jumper but was also exposed to eventing, western pleasure and western gaming. It was here that I started training riders and horses. I have taught beginner to advanced lessons (in all mentioned disciplines) as well as therapeutic lessons and summer camps to multiple students with great success. I have also trained horses (yearlings) as well as molding/continuing training with more advanced horses. I have a strong connection with horses and have an uncanny ability to work with and "break" the horses that people have problems with. On top of working with horses and lesson kids I was top at the barn with daily-chores, turn in/out etc. and worked with a multitude of breeds, ages and sexes of horse trained in various disciplines along with being a groom for trillium and "a" rated shows. As an individual I have great people skills that I have developed by working in a grocery/retail store here in the North. Usually I would work at my family farm in Ontario but there has been some trouble in the family that does not permit me to run lessons and camps like I had planned to. I will be living in Springbrook and have my own transportation (along with a valid class 5 [Ontario g equivalent] license) so housing is not an issue. I am looking at a paid position not a summer student position that would allow me free board as I already have that with my grandparents for both my horses. I have not ever driven farm equipment but am a fast learner and at the time I am learning to drive a 5 tonne truck (which is stick) and am competent at driving with trailers/loads on. I am also not limiting myself to work with horses, I would be very interested working with other farm animals as well. Resume and references are available upon request.
