I am selling my 12 year old paint gelding as I no longer have time to ride him. He is very quiet, you can put him out to pasture for the winter and hop right on him in the spring without any bucking, rearing or bolting. He is about 15.3 hands and 1100 pounds, with solid legs & feet. He is conformationally correct and 100 % sound; up to date on shots & worming. He had his teeth floated in May last year and won't need them done again until next spring. I keep him barefoot but he has worn shoes before. He stands quietly for the vet and the farrier, and trailers well. I have been riding him english but he was started western and was ridden mostly in the mountains except by his previous owner's wife who rode him english. He is calm both out on the trail and in an arena; he has done basic dressage and some low jumping as well as trail riding. He would be suitable for an intermediate junior or adult rider; he is very calm but I wouldn't put a small child on him, as he can really get up and go when you ask him. He has a beautiful lofty, collected 'rocking horse' canter that would be good for western pleasure or hunters, and the speed and agility to run barrels or chase cows. It is a shame that I have to sell him but I just don't have the time to give him the attention he deserves. Feel free to contact me for more info, serious inquiries only please.
