Blue Steel Quarter Horses is a family breeding operation. Our mission is to breed the Quarter Horse back into the American Quarter Horse. Our AQHA/NFQHA mares and stallion offer the classic foundation bloodlines that established American Quarter Horse history. Our favorites include Quincy Dan, Leo, Wimpy, Doc Bar, and King P-234. Yes, we love color, however we never sacrifice the critical combination of correct, functional conformation, brains, versatility, and a willing, loving, disposition for the sake of color. Brushy Creek's Princess, Bay Shetland Pony For Sale in South Carolina
$ 3,000 (Negotiable)
SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.This pony and our 10 year old daughter were awarded 2 (two) year end circuit Championships and 1 year end Reserve Championship in 2007- 2008. Our daughter has a wall full of ribbons won on this pony (see pic). Snickers has shown in western, english, halter/in hand, and all gaming classes. Competes and pins in ALL events! Shown local and sanctioned shows. She also has a pony cart and we have played around driving her. Perfect pony for 4H, Pony Club or leadline thru crossrails. A child that has riding experience is best suited, however she’ll walk the new beginners around just fine. She is well trained and well mannered, however she is not a deadhead. She is a cute jumper, tracks up nicely, and is a flat kneed mover. Nice, well trained, well behaved ponies like this are extremely hard to find and we are sad she has been outgrown. You can see how far my daughter’s legs were hanging on Snickers in the pics of last year’s Halloween fun show. It would not take much to get her back to show ring riding condition. You can bring her out of the pasture after months of no riding and she’ll ride off just fine. She has NEVER bucked, spooked, bolted or done any unsafe behaviors with my daughter. She has such a good attitude about everything, you can do ANYTHING with this pony. She also has a good pedigree. Super easy keeper w/handful of pellets and 1 flake hay per day to keep plump. Trail rides and can keep up with the big horses. She has superb manners, easily handled by children, is good for vet/farrier, and gets along with all horses (she does have a boyfriend, a Percheron gelding). Snickers is part of our family, we have owned her for a long time, and is only offered for sale because she is too good of a pony to be sitting around our farm as a pet. My daughter is too big to rider her anymore and has started using her in riding lessons, but not enough to justify keeping her for occassional lessons. Always kept UTD on vaccinations/dental/farrier (great hooves, goes barefoot) care. A lease may be considered. Only an appropriate and good home will be considered. If you don't have the finances, please, don't waste your time or ours. Arrangements may be possible to hold until Christmas and/or Christmas delivery within a reasonable distance. BSQH Sir Robin Duke, Blue Roan Quarter Horse For Sale in South Carolina
NOT FOR SALE.STANDING AT STUD 2009 fee $500.00. Discount for repeat clients. Live cover only at this time. Sir Robin Duke, own son of Blueboy Quincy, is a 1996 AQHA/NFQHA/ FQHR text book blue roan. He has the characteristic distinct black head, legs, and absolutely no brown or bay hairs in his coat. Consistently, he produces colored offspring 100% and has never produced a red foal according to AQHA records. He also out produces himself in stature with all foals maturing 15.1-16HH. Robin also has the classic foundation conformation; heavily muscled, sturdy bone and foot, large jaw and gentle eyes. These old time foundation horses are hard to find. Robin’s pedigree boasts many of the famous AQHA Hall of Fame foundation horses that made Quarter Horse history to include Quincy Dan, Joe Reed II, Leo, King P-234, Docs Prescription, Doc Bar, Wimpy, & Poco Bueno to just name a few. We admire this horse’s ability to “think”. He does not waste his energy on frivolous things such as a whirlwind of leaves blowing by him. Robin has such a good work ethic and puts his heart into the task asked of him. He has made a name for himself throughout Canada and the Western states for producing progeny that are “born broke”, & also have the ability to think through situations. Robin has proven this with 5 registered foal crops. He is so gentle, he is ridden, handled, and trained by a woman. His foals are also very gentle and known as the pasture pets. Weekend Riding Lessons Available in USA/Canada
in Training --> Lessons & Instruction
Riding lessons available and taught by my daughter, an accomplished 12 year old youth rider. She is looking to earn a little extra spending money, and instead of babysitting, she would like to teach other children to ride. This young rider has quite an impressive equestrian resume. Some of her accomplishments include earning 186 ribbons (PSJ, CEC, Pony Club, local) in one year of showing, earning 2 year end circuit championships, 1 year end circuit reserve championship, 2008 Hunter Under Saddle Champion and 2008 Cross Rail Champion at the South Carolina State Fair. She also trained one of her ponies, on her own, from a non riding pony to earning a year end circuit championship in one show season. All lessons are directly supervised by a qualified adult with 25+ years of equestrian accolades (feel free to check my qualifications on our website). English and Western lessons are available on her absolutely safe show veteran ponies. Lessons taught in a safe enclosed 3 board arena. Weekend lessons only are offered due to school/gymnastic team practice during the week. Rate: $15 for 30 minute private lesson.
