Troy is a beautiful sorrel Arabian
gelding, about 15 years old, 15 1/2 HH.
He absolutely shines in the summer sun.
He is well broke and a pleasure to ride.
He has been ridden extensively on the
trails earlier this summer and has
proven reliable in just about any
situation we encountered. He didnt spook
at a train rushing past, or birds and
deer startling in our path. I even took
him for a ride bareback a couple of
weeks ago and was happy with his
performance. He has great brakes, even
at a canter he stops very easily. He has
a gentle mouth and responds to the
lightest commands on the reins. He is a
big puppy dog and wants your attention
every time you are outside. He dances
around when you saddle him up, but
earlier this spring when he was being
ridden regularly there was a noticeable
improvement. He was supposed to be for
my oldest daughter, she fell in love
with him. However she lives seven hours
away and isnt moving here any more, so
hes just one more horse to feed. She
still rides him when she visits every
month, but thats about the most use hes
getting right now. The farrier has been
out to trim hooves on our other horses
three times since Troy has been here and
he hasnt needed his hooves trimmed yet,
theyre very low maintenance. I had a
Coggins done on him in May. Troy is a
great horse. Unfortunately hes just an
extra right now and wed all love to see
him go to a home where hell get the love
and attention he needs and wants. Hed be
a great horse for a younger rider who
wants to get up and go: he has the
spirit and energy of an Arabian, but the
mellowed personality that comes with age
and training. Please EMAIL me with
additional questions and for photos.
