Elmo is a 6
year old gelding, will be 7 in October.
We have owned him for over 3 years. He
was bought for my daughter, who is now
in college.
He has been used
for riding lessons, and for ALOT of
trail riding. He is fast and smooth. I
have ridden alot of horses and he is
smooth. Loves to be in the lead and
does not bugger or spook. Experienced
on the trail and knows what to do. Will
go over trees or around them, whatever
you want. Is not afraid of creeks or
rivers. Has been ridden in Jellico
Christmas parade twice. Is not afraid
of tractors, four wheelers,
motorcycles, dogs, etc. Lots of
experience on the road and in traffic,
during daylight and at night. Elmo is
very sure footed and not the least bit
clumsy, so you can enjoy the ride. Yes,
he will go anywhere you want by
himself.
He is gaited and very
smooth and fast. A cadillac! Novice
riders may be intimidated by his speed
and power. Elmo was clocked on August
1, 2010 at 14 mph
This beautiful
boy has a long, full golden mane and
tail. We have his coggins and he is up
to date on worming. He is in fine
physical shape, and goes on 2 - 6 hour
trail rides almost every week end and
is rode around the house during the
week. He loads/ unloads (just point his
nose to the door) and stands for a
ferrier. No issues or problems here. He
comes when called and is never turned
out with a halter (no need).
His ground manners are superb.
Loves attention and children. Stands
patiently for saddling, unsaddling,
mounting and dismounting. If you
dismount on a trail ride, you do not
have to fight to get back on.
I
have current video (taped July 19) that
I can email and have lots more
