Jag is an eleven year old quarter horse
that is 16 hands tall. He is really good
on trails and can go alone or with other
horses, in front or in the back of the
pack. I would love to keep him but I
want a barrel horse which he is not. The
reason I'm selling him is because he has
a Navicular problem, BUT on the trails
he is perfect and is even willing to
gallop. He loves trails and nothing
would stop him from going on trails. He
does not spook!
I do have him on
new balance shoes and he does well with
them. I also have him on a 5in1
supplement that helps his joints. He
just eats lots of hay; he has alfalfa
cubes, vitamins, and very little
grain...sometimes none for his
meals!
He is really a great horse
and I have done parallel training with
him and he does great at it. During the
winter he is a lot better for some
reason and I have done jumping with him.
This horse tough it out and works though
it. He is willing to please
you.
For the most part Jag is
good for trails, but I also see him as a
pasture buddy or like a big dog that
just loves people and wants to be
spoiled. He is UTD on shots, loads fine,
stands for the farrier, and is just a
great horse that I would love to find a
good home to so that I don't have to put
him down because he is a good and young
horse that still have life in head of
him.
