"Ruby" is a 14.2hh 1998 Registered
Breeding Stock Paint mare. Sound and
sane. Is incredibly steady and level
headed on the trail. Has taken me on
several fantastic 3 to 6 hour trail
rides over this summer and this girl
just trucks along at the same steady
walk from start to finish. You hardly
ever need to put your leg or rein on
her, she just puts her head down and
gets to work, watches where her feet go,
and is a real pleasure to ride. I
haven’t found anything on the trail that
bothers this mare– she has a real good
head on her shoulders.
While she
is quiet she isn't a complete dead-head
- her rider needs to know how to sit a
horse, but she would be good for a
strong beginner or intermediate rider on
the trails. Has given kids pony rides
around the farm at home, and is very
gentle with them. She has not had the
opportunity to prove herself as a kids
trail horse yet, but I believe she would
be fine for a kid/teen who knows how to
ride.
This mare will met you at
the gate and make your day – a very
sweet girl. She has always been ridden
bitless, but for no other reason than
she does great in a bosal or halter.
Before I got her she was a ranch horse -
Knows how to work a cow - would be good
for team penning and sorting. Take this
horse home now and get to know her over
the winter, then hit the trails on a
really solid partner next
spring.
To an experienced, caring
home only.
$3000
She is worth
more than this but her legs are a bit
marked up
Price: $ 3,000 (OBO)
