Dollie is a sweetheart. I have ridden
her for 3 years extensively on the
trails. She loves the trails and has
the heart to go all day. She climbs
rocky, steep hills, crosses water,
crosses logs, camps, and picket lines.
She loads like a dream, trims like a
dream, does well for the farrier, is
used to dogs, rides on the road like a
pro, is not spooky. She will ride
anywhere in the pack, but she is fast
gaited and normally ends up towards the
front. She neck reins, and works on leg
pressure. She is not at the top of the
food chain, nor is she at the bottom. I
have never ridden a horse that is so
smooth and fast, she is a BLAST to ride.
She will walk along the trail or She
will pass everyone with a FAST and
SMOOTH Gait if you ask her to. She also
has a very nice canter. She is used to
carrying full saddle bags all day long.
Since she loves to GO I would not
recommend her for the beginner or timid
rider. She is not mean and is an easy
keeper, has a full stocky body. She has
a fresh, negative coggins, been on an
every other month worming rotation. She
is blind in one eye due to an infection
she had at one time. The eye has been
vet checked
and poses no other health
risks. This has not affected the ability
of being a great trail riding horse. She
is a wonderfull mother, she has had two
babies, that hit the ground gaiting just
like her. One baby was sorrel with
flaxen mane and four white feet. her
last baby was a palamino. I am
starting to ride a young horse now, I
don't have time to ride them all. May be
interested in trading for horse hay.
