The Pictures that are posted were taken
in the fall, we have yet to do current
ones, she has developed more since the
photo's
Delta is 3 years old this
month, she has a great personality one
that is not easy to find in a young
horse, she enjoys to be handled doesnt
spook easily and loves people. She
lunges with a saddle very well, she can
walk, trot, canter with a rider as well.
She is broke to pick up her shoulders
and move over both ways, she is broke to
stop and her back up is coming along
nicely.
Delta loves cattle, you
can turn her out with cattle and other
horses and she feels the need to protect
the cattle from the other horsem she is
very natural at it. I think she would
make somebody a great cutting horse with
the propre cutting traning, she is handy
and works nicely with the
cattle
Delta could also make
somebody a great roping horse, I am just
learning to rope and I have been
throwing ropes off of her since I
started to learn, she has never once had
a problem with the ropes, I can throw
them at targets and cattle, I have
caught a few times and she has no
problem with it. Because I dont know
much about roping I can not teach her
everything she needs to know however
with someone who knows there stuff when
it comes to roping I think she would
make an excellent roper.
Flying
hearts tuffy is a rening champion in the
state of Iowa and is a great looking
horse, he sired this filly. I do not
know a whole lot about reining however I
know that they need to be quiet and
collected as well as have talent with
there haunches, delta has the ability to
do all of this. I have been working with
her on framing and breaking at the
withers, she is coming great with it,
the more consitantly she is worked the
quicker she picks new things
up.
I have started delta on a
little bit of barrel work and she is
doing great, I have trotted her the
basic pattern and she loves to get down
work the barrel and stick close to it. I
have not had much time to do alot more
then this with her as we have been
conditoning our racehorses over the last
couple weeks and this will continue all
summer. I have hauled her out to a
couple local shows and she showed no
signs of being nervous at all!
Delta loves to trail ride, she
is not spooky and is great to take out
in the feilds and just simply ride aroud
if you want a break from arena work or
if you just ride for fun.
Delta
has low hawks and short cannon bones, as
well as a nice neck line that stays even
with her withers she does not carry her
head high and I have not had to use a
tie down on her.
I can not say
enough great things about this filly,
she is talented, handy and great to be
around. She stands for the farrier, vet
and to be clipped, she will stand in
cross ties as well. She is UTD on
everything, If you have anymore
questions please feel free to contact
me.
Deltas Sire is brother to
Frenchmens Guy, and her sire is doing
very well in rodeo events in the
states.
