Cody is my baby. He would
not be for sale if it wasn't a
necessity. We're moving and can't take
him with us.
Cody is the
absolute best horse I have. When we
sent him to the trainer to be broke he
came back in 60 days DEAD BROKE! He
loves people and will stand for hours to
be petted.
Cody is good for the
farrier and vet. His shots/coggins are
up to date. He will load onto a stock
trailer and a slant load with no
problem. He trailers well.
We've taken Cody on numerous
trail rides and never had a problem with
him. He'll cross water and bridges and
I've never seen him get scared of what
he's encountered out there. He went to
the Ward Ride this past fall and carried
one of my son's friends the entire day
without any incident. He's also been to
Hitchcock Park in Aiken several times.
He may be only 3 years old, but
he's the calmest trail horse I have.
Cody gets stares everywhere he
goes. He's so pretty everyone thinks
he's a mare! His head is small and
delicate and his neck is gorgeous. He's
got a big hip that muscles up nice when
he's worked. I believe he will get
taller and fill out more as he gets
older. At our house he's in the pasture
24/7 so his coat is lighter ... but when
we sent him to the trainer and he was
stalled, he came back a beautiful golden
boy with wonderful dapples!
Cody
is HYPP N/H but he has been
non-symptomatic since I've had him from
a yearling and the previous
owner/breeder said he was
non-symptomatic when they had him also.
We feed him Safe Choice that is low in
starch and keep him away from sugars and
he is fine.
Cody's lines are
wonderful ... his sire is from the
legendary Pitzer Ranch and includes Two
Eyed Jack twice. On the bottom side he
boasts greats in the halter industry.
But what is the best feature about him
is his temperment!
I'm pricing
him low because I've got to sell him
quick. This is in no way any indication
of what he's worth. In my book, Cody is
priceless! Unfortunately, circumstances
change and I'm forced to sell him.
EDITED TO ADD .... We had a
potential buyer come out and ride Cody
and when Cody was asked for the canter,
he did crow hop a couple of times. It
wasn't a full out buck, but it was a
sign of Cody still being green. I
haven't ridden him as much as a green
horse should be ridden. So ... keep in
mind ... as much as Cody's disposition
is calm and mild mannered, he is still a
3 year old.
