This
beautiful girl was born on May 2nd,
2005, in Port Perry Ontario. She is a
16.1hh, bay with a white star on her
face and has two white socks on her
back legs. She is a Dutch Warmblood X
Thoroughbred. She has lived at the same
barn her whole life and has a detailed
file of all activities pertaining to
her health management.
Right
from day one, Ava has had a very bold
personality. She shows confidence in
everything she does. She carries an
“old mind” meaning; it is as though she
has done this before! Her initial
training in summer of 2008 was very
easy.
We believed it helped
that we instil from a day old, lots of
handling and exposure. She then
continued with light training
throughout the summer and was given a
short break in the fall and then again
in the spring of 2009.
She has
been introduced to trotting poles,
cavalletties and cross rails, small
verticals, and combinations. Ava has
proven to process the concept well. And
we feel that jumping will be an easy
discipline for her.
Ava has good
confirmation that we believe will allow
her to be successful in Dressage, as
well as Eventing. Her compact body and
agile nature are essential for these
disciplines. Along with her large bone
structure and well-muscled body, she
will have great physical durability and
longevity. Her sire, Jacardo, placed in
the Top Ten of the Pavo Cup as a 4 and
5 year old. Took 1st place in the
NHS/KWPN Stallion Competition Class M
in 1996 and 1997. Competed at Z2 +13 in
dressage (13 points at L4) and in
stallion competition. Sport Results in
North America: Imported 2001. Short
listed for the Canadian Dressage Team
(B list). Reserve champion in the FEI
division. Scored 71.250% on
Intermediare 1 Freestyle. Offsprings'
Sport Results in Holland: 2001 Index:
Jumping 95 (39%), Dressage 144 (51%).
Three offspring have completed station
performance test, three are competing
in jumping, ten are competing in
dressage. Statistics: 203 foals
registered, 23 studbook mares, 7 star
mares, 2 keur mares, 4 studbook quality
geldings. Offsprings' Sport Results in
North America: New York is the Basic 2
Canadian National Dressage Champion for
2000. In 1994 Stallion Performance Test
Ermelo (3rd of 26).
The fact
that Ava is very secure about her
environment makes it very easy to work
around her. She is excellent for all
Professionals and has a very good
health program.
We have
trailered Ava off property numerous
times so she is familiar with the whole
routine of loading and unloading; she
actually really enjoys the trailer and
is never hesitant to load. She also is
great with water and loves her bathes.
She has been recently introduced to
trails/hacking and that she has proven
to absolutely love it. She does work in
our outside ring with no
concerns.
We will be able to
provide all lineages of Ava’s parents
and transfer her papers over to new
owners upon purchase. Whether your use
for her will be performance in the ring
or for breeding quality off spring,
she’ll bring great presence wherever
she goes.
Ava will make a lovely
adult amateur, junior or with time a
young rider mount. We strongly believe
that she will be a lifelong partner and
provide many years of great
memories.
She fits in well with
all horses and never gets worried about
changes. She has excellent manners in
her stall. Never has been territorial.
Ava is an easy keeper with food. She is
never fussy with eating. And maintains
a good robust look.
In her
price, we will include:
• All her
pails-prep pail, feed bucket and 2
water pails.
• Halter and lead.

Her medium weight winter blanket (new
last winter), rain sheet, cotton sheet,
quilt, and Rambo quarter sheet.

Full set of training boots (front and
back).
• Training bridle with
