Rafaga is a large bodied mare. She is
very willing and gentle under saddle.
She is easy to
catch/farrier/worm/handle/ gets along
well in the herd. No vices & never sick.
She holds her weight steady, easy keeper
but not TOO easy. Solid hooves never
cracked or chipped just regular
trimming. She is the type you can just
throw a saddle on and ride after sitting
idle for weeks/monthes or years. She is
very gentle, sweet and powerful. When I
started her under saddle several years
ago in one round pen session and she
took pad, saddle and me with no spooking
or bucking. We went for an awesome trail
ride that same day. We then took her to
a trainer for proper 30 days of good
foundational training. We take her
camping every few years with no
prep-what a gem ! Her lovely disposition
is stamped on all her babies. I have
used her for demo rides-very versatile.
Loads, ties,easy to vaccinate and worm,
good for farrier, picket lines, good
broodmare, gets along well in the herd,
sound and healthy. She has always been a
barn favorite and offered for sale
reluctantly. She will make someone an
awesome trail partner. She was weighed
on a scale at 1050. Solid mare !! One of
the smoothest horses I have ever ridden,
if not the smoothest. We ride her
bareback in halter ! Nice mare that will
make someone a great trail partner.
