Meet Pippi...she will be 2 years old
this month and is already 15.1hh. She
has been worked on a regular basis
(about 2 times a week), other than daily
feeding and brushing.
I purchased
Pippi as a 3 month old filly, and she
has been at my farm since then. She
ties, stands for the farrier, comes to
you to be haltered, worms and handles
shots okay. I've played with the
clippers around her, but she still needs
work. I've also bathed her a couple
times. but she still needs work on that,
too. We've been working on loading in
the trailer, and she is doing
well.
I've done some Parelli
games with her and she respects the
carrot stick. She will do well for 10-15
minutes and then gets bored and wants
more action. This is typical of a filly
her age.
I purchased Pippi to
train her as a Mounted Division horse,
since I belong to Allegan County Mounted
Division. However, due to money and time
limitations (trying to be a stay at home
mom), I need to sell her. I am NOT
selling her because of any issues on her
part. She doesn't have bad habits, other
than normal "baby" antics.
I
have nothing negative to say about
Pippi, and will be sad to see her go.
However, if I don't sell her, I'll
probably have to return to work full
time. I am negotiable on my price and
WILL be picky on who buys her. She is
low on the totem pole, so I don't want
her to be pushed around (she won't fight
for her own feed/hay). I also want to
make sure she will be fed properly and
worked with on a regular basis. She
should be ready for light riding this
summer.
Please no beginners...a
horse this age needs someone with
experience and patience. I prefer
someone who likes natural horsemanship,
but anyone who cares for horses and will
love Pippi is who I'm seeking.
I
know there are a lot of horses out
there, so I am negotiable on my price. I
would consider trade (for something that
doesn't eat), could possibly keep her at
my farm for you (if you buy the
hay/grain), or maybe even a long term
lease.
Price: $ 1,000 (Negotiable)
