Ginger is an eight year old mare. Not
registered. She has been trail ridden.
We received her on a trade from a 70
year old man who was looking for an
older more laid back horse. He owned
Ginger for 3 years. He had not ridden
her for one year, after letting her
settle in for a few days we then trail
rode her and she did fine. Since then we
have trail ridden her 4 to 5 times. He
allowed her to have her way and because
he did we believe that is why she has
picked up the only bad habit, that is
disrespectful to the rider, she will
raise her head until she is warmed up in
the ride then she is perfect. We are
trail riding her at least once a week
now. We have 8 horses and we only have 2
riders in our household. We have our own
personal horses that we will not part
