Alejandro was born May 2008. He has been
color tested and is Homozygous for the
Black Color. When bred to chesnut he
will have black foals in the absence of
any other color modifying gene. He is
very easy to handle and is not "studdy".
He is currently kept with a gelding and
gets along fine. He doesn't have any
vices or bad habits. When he was a foal
he had a non genetic infection in his
hock and will most likely not be sound
for riding. He would be Ok for light
riding and will break out easily. He has
arthritis in his hock from the
infection. He does not require any
special care but would benefit from a
joint supplement. He will finish around
15 hands. He is heterozygous for the
pinto color gene. He is very sweet and
friendly. My facility houses one
stallion easily-two make a lot of extra
work for me! He stands 14 hands as a
yearling. He is easy to catch, load,
tie, worm, vaccinate, farrier and handle
around mares in heat. He would be a good
candidate for pasture breeding. If you
are interested in breeding Reg. Paso
Fino Horses I can help you with
inexpensive quality broodmares as well.
