Dakota is a sound 8 year old 15H gelding
with six months of professional
training. He is fun and willing on the
trails. We have raised Dakota from a
colt. As a two year old, he had one
month of professional training in the
spring and then was turned back out and
lightly trail ridden through the summer.
In the fall of his two year old year he
had three more months of training and
was put on cattle at that time. As a
three year old Dakota had three more
months of professional training, been
used for lessons and trail ridding since
that time. He has been team penning
several times and loves it. He also does
well on barrels and poles. He is easy
to catch, ties, loads, hauls, washes,
clips, hobbles all with no problem. He
is good for the farrier and the vet.
Dakota is a horse that you can pull out
of the stall, saddle and go, no lunging
required. He is fun on the trails and
has been ridden through a lot of
challenging terrain. He is a good mover
and is very strong behind. He has a nice
jog in the arena and a big ground
covering trot for working. Dakota is
current on shots, worming, teeth,
Coggins, and shoeing (2 front). For the
last six months he has been used in a
theraputic riding program. Whether you
are looking for a show horse, trail
horse, or lesson horse, he is all three
rolled up in one. He would make a great
husband horse or confidence builder for
anyone.
