Chocolate is 25% Friesian, 25%
Standardbred, and 50% quarter horse. She
was born April 2005 and stands 15.1h
tall. She is very friendly, easy to
catch, and easy to handle. She's
well-started under saddle. Picks up both
leads, backs, moves off leg pressure and
starting to neck rein. From day 1, she
has never bucked, bolted, reared, or
freaked out about anything. I can stand
on her back. She'll carry and walk over
a tarp. She's pulled my kids in their
wagon and sled. She has been trail
ridden several times this past fall and
did extremely well. She will ride out
alone with no herd-sourness. In a group,
she will lead with encouragement but
prefers to follow. She gets along great
with new horses. She will cross bridges,
goes through water, is traffic-safe
including motorcycles. She has nice,
solid black feet so she's not tender on
gravel or blacktop. If she's afraid of
something, she will stop and look at it,
and then keep right on going. Because of
her age, I would recommend her for an
intermediate rider, but after she gets
some more miles on her, she should be
the type of horse safe enough for
anyone. I've raised her from a baby so I
know all of her history and training.
