"Lucy" is a great mare that is very
layed back, but certainly has a lot of
get up and go in her. She loves to run
and loves her job. During running season
she is much more hyper and jumpy than
she is when she is not running so much.
When you take her to a show she knows
what she is supposed to do and sometimes
get a little jumpy that's why she is
recommemed for a more experienced rider
that can handle it. She is very light in
the mouth and moves off leg pressure
very well. She will work with or without
spurs and I prefer riding her in a tie
down to keep her in control. She bends
and turns very well. She has never
reared or bucked. She does have a bit of
trouble maintaining weight during
running season and has to be kept on
grass or hay all year long. With the
correct food she fattens up quickly. She
can be kept in a stall or a pasture and
is super east to catch. She does well
with other horse. She can be ridden
anywhere and everywhere and doesn't mind
much. She doesn't mind being
wormed,clipped,messed with,shod,loading
the trailer, and will stand untied in the
barn and not move. she has been ridden
in parades and did great besides the
fact like she is a prancer and would
much rather be moving than standing
still. If you are interested and would
like pictures or videos email me at
