Cherokee is a handsome 14.1hh, 13 year
old grade minimally gaited Paint x
Saddlebred Gelding. Ridden both English
and Western from jumping 2ft. to long
enjoyable trail rides. Cherokee has
about done it all! He's got a beautiful
head with a kind eye, built like a tank
and tastefully marked. Husband friendly
and would do well as a leadline pony for
a "just starting to ride" child. Would
recommend him for a well started
beginner to intermediate otherwise.
Stands like a gentleman to be
groomed, tacked, and takes the bit like
a champ and does well for farrier.
Currently not UTD on shots or coggins
due to isolation from other horses for
over a year now (there are no
neighboring horses and Cherokee has not
been hauled anywhere), hence the low
price. Loads well, bombproof, and stands
well for vet. Lives on air and goes
barefoot--easiest keeper
around!
Cherokee is a bold
gelding who would do exceptionally well
in gaming (barrels, poles, etc.), has
excellent steering or with fine tuning
to do English. Has get up and go when
asked or needed. Or a nice energetic
floaty gait to trail ride for hours! Has
many trail miles, has been in the
mountains and is sure-footed on various
turfs.
Has had previous
professional training; just needs
reminding and fine tuning.
