I am getting divorced and must sell
Della ASAP- hopefully by 7/31 at the
latest as I cannot afford to pay board
for her.
Della is a 6yr old solid
black grade Percheron mare. She is a
joy to have around- typical Percheron
demeanor, but with personality and a
little spunk! She is broke to ride-
English or Western, has been ridden
frequently by myself and weekly by a
professional trainer- also had 60 days
professional training when she was
broke. I bought her as a dressage
prospect for her conformation and long
sweeping gait, but she has a nice
collected western jog and lope as well.
She loves to jump! I would consider her
"training level" dressage at this point
and needs an intermediate rider to teach
her more. My trainer has been giving
beginner/intermediate lessons with her
as she is kind to un-experienced riders,
and has very comfortable gaits to sit
to. Della is very intelligent,
level-headed, a quick learner, and
retains what she knows. She is a great
trail horse as well- very quiet, not
spooky. She is broke to drive single and
double, although is has been a few years
I'm sure she would pick it up again
easily. She is very quiet for the
farrier, grooming, bathing, hauling, etc
and has been healthy and overall an easy
keeper. Current on vaccines, negative
coggins, routine deworming. She has not
been bred, but would probably be a good
broodmare also. Asking $1800, to a good
home only. Very sad to sell. If you are
looking for a versatile young horse who
can do everything, Della is for you!
