Radar or "Paint" as we call him is a 14
year old Grulla Tobiano Paint. He does
not have papers. He is current on all
vaccinations, worming and his feet are
done. He can go with or without shoes.
His feet are nice and hard with no
soundness issues. He is 16 hands tall.
You can tie him up and leave him for as
long as you want and when you get back,
he will still be standing there quietly.
He is not barn or buddy sour. You can
keep him alone or with other horses, but
he doesn't particularly like the small
pony/mini size horses. He is not
dominant, but will take care of himself
if another horse picks on him. You can
bathe him, shoe him, tie him, load and
unload him, saddle him and mount and
dismount him with no issues. He has no
health issues and is sound.
My
husband has had him for a few years now
and he has used him to work cows, pony
his other horses and colts and a little
bit in the arena, tracking/roping
steers. He is not a finished team roping
horse, but he has roped a lot in the
pasture. My husband has also shot guns
off him and he doesn't care. He has been
used so much for this time of thing, he
just doesn't like to do it anymore. He
will, but prefers ponying other horses,
pleasure and trail riding. He is so
smooth! I can ride him on the trails for
hours and he will go anywhere I point
him without hesitation.
Paint does
not have any bad habits. He does not
rear, bolt, spook, buck or kick. He
WOULD NOT be for sale if I did more
trail riding, but I mainly ride my
husband's ropin horses anymore and Paint
has been out alone at my parent's house.
He really is happiest going places and
doing things, so if you are active and
want a horse that can tolerate just
about anything and do anything you ask,
he's the one. Not to mention he has a
gorgeous and unique color to boot! Some
of these pictures are older, but he
still looks the same, except his mane
and tail are longer and thicker than
show in the pictures.
