Te was used as a brood mare for several
years. I didn't even know that she was
broke to ride when I bought her, but she
was so calm and easy to handle that I
thought maybe she was. So we tried her
out and sure enough, she is. We have
ridden her several times all over the
farm, She's been on mountain trails. She
crosses water, logs, mud. She is VERY
EASY to bridle and saddle. LOVES being
groomed and bathed. Great for Farrier.
Loads easily. Te can be a little bit
herd bound, depending on the dynamics of
the group she is in but it is nothing we
have not been able to deal with. She is
blind in one eye, (cateract) but not
spooky at all. She is not lazy or too
slow, but will not take off either,
never bucks, is very easy to stop.
Responds well to cues. She is the lowest
in the pecking order in our pasture. Te
is VERY healthy and could definatly have
more colts. When I bought her, she had a
4 mos. old filly on her side and was
still plenty fat. (see picture w/ colt)
She easily maintains body condition on
little or no grain ( I usually don't
grain her unless it is very cold.) and
has a luminescent shene to her coat. She
has an excellent pedigree you can see on
request. Please contact us for web site
info. She is N/N. We love Te and are
looking for a great forever home for
her. She deserves it, she is a very
sweet Mare. We are not marketing her as
a kids horse, but she could definately
be a great horse for an advanced
beginner teanager. Current on
Vaccinations, worming and Coggins.
