Xena is a Appaloosa/Red Roan mare, who
just needs something new! We run a
summer camp and riding lesson program,
and she just isn’t the right fit for us.
She is lots of fun to ride, but has
some ground manners that really need
some work. Being that we teach
children, we do not have a suitable
environment for her at this time. She
would probably be best suited for
someone who has time to spend working
with her, and a limited amount of other
horses.
We have a large herd,
and she doesn’t get along with others
too well (she is more of a victim than a
bully around other horses), but because
she has been picked on, she takes time
to trust both other horses as well as
people. She loads, ties and stands for
the farrier. We are sad to see her go,
but hope to find a place that is a
better match for her needs.
