Hello,
I have a 5 1/2 yr. old bay
standardbred gelding that I want to
lease out. He is around 15 hands, a bit
taller. He's supposedly proud cut, but
he's super quiet under saddle; just
can't be pastured with both mares and
geldings. He's a bit stubborn sometimes,
but if you know what your doing you
shouldn't have any problems. He's been
more of a trail horse, mostly W/T. We
are still working on the cantering,
mostly because he likes to break out of
it into a pace, but he's never been on
the track and doesn't pace regularly.
He's a great ride. Very responsive. He's
definitely a people-pleaser. I am
getting 30 days training before he goes,
so as long as he gets regular work there
will be no problems. I just don't have
time to give him the riding he deserves
between school and work.
I want
someone to take good care of him until I
finish school (7 months). If I find the
right person that would be interested in
buying him then that could be a future
option. If your interested in taking on
a project horse for a while, please
email me.
The place I board
now(in Leduc) has an indoor riding arena
but obviously if he has to be moved for
whatever reason, that's ok too. So just
to clarify, this is a free lease,
meaning the horse is yours to do with
what you please, you can move him, or
whatever, but all bills are on you. You
pay for any vet bills, other than shots.
Your responsible for deworming. you pay
board and farrier bills. The tack is
included, however, the saddle is my
baby, though it isn't brand new and
special in any way, please have respect
for it(keep it clean, don't break
anything lol). His feet will be done in
the next few weeks so it will be a while
before he needs them done
again.
**Please note: His training
starts in november, so he will be ready
for december.
Thanks
