Blueberry is an amazing broodmare and
mother. She was in with the stallion for
a matter of four hours and than we took
her home. She was only exposed once and
caught. The whole time that she was
pregnant she ran with the other members
of our herd. She never once showed
aggression towards the other horses.
When she went into labor it was a matter
of seconds and she had her colt pushed
out and cleaned. Right in the middle of
her birthing I ran in beside her while
she was laying down and petted her. I
imprinted the baby and as he grew I
played tag and slept in his stall with
him as Blueberry stood overhead. She is
an amazing mother that would never harm
another soul. Her ground skills are also
amazing. Anyone can catch her and halter
her. She leads, backs, and squares up
like a champ. You can work her with or
without a chain. Blueberry is broke to
ride. But, for an experienced rider
only. She has encountered abuse
throughout her life and is skittish at
times to get on. But, when you get on
her she is an amazing ride. She has
never spooked from anything on the
trail. She has had deer, pigeons, cows
and many other things pop up in front of
her and she has never moved. She is very
herd friendly, she has never offered to
be aggressive on trails. She has a
beautiful walk, and a western jog to die
for. When you want it she also has a
beautiful floating trot for hunt seat. I
did mess around with some jumps earlier
this year and she cleared them like a
champ. Her conformation and body mass is
spectacular. She baths, trailers, stands
for ferrier, and stands for vet.
Blueberry is an amazing mare especially
with her pedigree, she just needs
someone that can work with her and I
unfortunately cant since I have left
home to go to college. I have many more
pictures of her and of her 3 year old
son, she is a color producing mare, and
produces intelligent and beautiful
