I have a mare for sale (her name is
Angel) that is a 9 yr old TN Walker,
about 15 hands high, and is the most
unusual looking horse I have ever seen
(in a good way). I think she is
beautiful. She is all white with a
black head, a white blaze, and a black
streak down her tail. It is hard to
describe her – I have attached pictures.
She is gentle and has a good gait. I
have not worked with her in a while. I
have another mare and the two do not get
along. I have a very dominant mare and
she is a bully (her name is Babe). It
is not Angel's fault, it is just my
other mare is a complete witch! My
horse, Junior, is 18 yrs old and I am
going to semi-retire him. That is why I
am selling Angel. Babe (the witchy one)
is my fiancée’s horse and we can’t part
with her. We cannot trail ride Angel
and Babe together because Babe is always
picking on Angel and Angel will not get
in a trailer with her (I don't blame
her). I only have about 6 acres, so I
have to trailer the horses somewhere to
get some good riding in. That is why
Angel has not been ridden as much as I
would like. Babe gets along with
geldings just fine, but not other mares.
That is why I am looking for another
gaited gelding (it has to be a gelding!)
Angel was registered at one
time with her previous owner, but
something happened to the papers (I
don't know what). Therefore, she is not
papered. She stands for the farrier,
she loves being groomed (that what I
like to call playing "My Little Pony"),
and she is just an all around good,
sweet, gentle horse. But, like I said I
have not ridden her much this past year,
so she may need to be refreshed (and she
will probably do just fine). I have
videos of me riding her for the first
time in a year if anyone is interested
in seeing them. She was antsy, but she
did not try anything that scared me.
She did not buck, rear, or anything of
the sort. She was very easy to catch,
saddle up, and she responded well to the
bit and bridle. When I got her (about 1
1/2 yrs ago) she was at a stable up near
Crossville that hosted children's riding
camps every summer. She was one of the
horses that the children used to ride on
the trials and in the arena near the
stable. The man who owned the stable
came into so financial difficulties and
had to sell the stable and all the
horses. That is were I bought Angel.
She is a really calm, sweet horse and
she will make someone a wonderful horse.
I don't want to get rid of
Angel, but I feel like she needs to go
somewhere were someone will enjoy her.
I am only asking $650 for her. I feel
like that is a fair price. She is worth
more than what I am asking (and I paid
more than what I am asking), I just want
her to go to a good home. If you know
someone who is interested and would like
to come and see her, please don't
hesitate to call me at home
(#731-427-5114) or my cell
(#662-809-9100). I cannot get another
horse until I sell her. My barn can
only accommodate 4 horses and I am at my
max now.
I am looking for a
gelding that is sweet and gentle and
does not have to be ridden all the time.
I do not get to ride very much in the
winter and in the summer. I ride mostly
in the spring and the fall when the
weather is nice. Also, I need a gelding
that likes to be groomed, stands for the
farrier, and loads in the trailer
easily. I am not a cowgirl, I just like
something easy and simple. I don't need
a horse that is going to give me any
trouble. I prefer a smaller horse,
because it is easier for me to get on
and off.
If you know of
anyone that might be interested in
Angel, or if you have a horse that you
think would be a good fit for me, just
let me know. I will consider
trades.
Thanks so much,
Tay
