Sioux is a ten year old registered QH
mare, 15h, 1000 lbs. She’s flashy with
a dark bay coat; blaze; socks in front.
Her conformation is very correct, and
she’s as gentle as she is beautiful. No
matter how many other horses we have,
she’s the one everyone raves about.
She’s always the first one to come up to
us in the pasture. When we had had her
only two weeks, and she had been ridden
briefly once, we decided to ride in a
neighboring town’s 4th of July parade.
I picked her to ride, and she didn’t
disappoint me. In fact, she amazed me,
acting as if riding in parades was an
everyday occurrence for her. We had
many joyful trail rides during the
summer. She’s very willing and gets
along wonderfully with other horses,
dogs, cars, 4 wheelers, tractors. She
stands for the farrier, clips, bathes,
and loads like a gem.
